History

The agency was formally established in 1995 by the late Jasper John Taormina (also known as Jay or J.J. Taormina) and Heda A. Taormina.  Jay's experience with LAGA (London American General Agency) as the previous owner triggered the birth of Taormina Insurance Services, Inc. (TISI) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Taorminas started as captive agents of Mutual of Omaha Companies (1995) and focused on auto and home insurance products. In 1997, the Taorminas were appointed as Independent Insurance Agents with the Mutual of Omaha .  Thus, appointments with other companies were soon obtained.
